Current Projects
A friend of mine was placing an order for a couple of JAKs one day and asked me if I wanted one too. Hell, yeah I did. It’s a model for aircombat, a segment of the hobby I haven’t yet looked into. The model was originally featured as a plan in an RC-magazine. There’s also a building thread on RC-Network.
DLGs are something I have not tried yet. After viewing a lot of videos on youtube I couldn’t resist any longer and decided to build one or two.
Oh my, another project? Yes. It is so much fun to start stuff and to just put it aside once interest has faded.
Behold the newest mod to my worshipped Callistic, the Jumbo Callistic. It features three airbrake surfaces, a wingspan of approximately 2.5m and a big interior. The space inside the fuselage will be well filled with power supplies and batteries for the wireless camera as well as a diversity receiver system. It’s gonna be aaaawesome.
During the first couple of FPV-flight I noticed that the reception was far less than perfect. The view was obstructed by flickering, stripes and glitches which occurred way too often.

I decided to give it a shot
Dies hat zwar nicht viel mit Modellbau zu tun. Spannend ist es aber trotzdem und mit “Projekte” sind ja nicht ausschliesslich RC-Projekte gemeint. Der Bericht ist bewusst auf Deutsch verfasst, da meine Site-Statistik deutlich auf eine deutschsprachige Mehrheit hinweist.
Irgendwann musste es ja sein. Der Kauf einer 2.4GHz-Erweiterung für meinen Sender sollte aber wohlüberlegt sein. Deshalb verbrachte ich auch sehr viel Zeit mit der Lektüre von Bedienungsanleitungen der jeweiligen kompatiblen Modulen und von diversen Internetforen zum Thema. Schliesslich fiel der Entscheid für das TU-Modul von Jeti.
Unter einem kräftigen Hammerschlag ging das Projekt-Sparschwein zu Bruch und gab viele kleine und grosse Batzen von sich. Damit machte ich auf der ganzen Welt Einkäufe und baue mir daraus nun eine CNC Fräse.
